Daily word game
Guess the hidden word in six tries. A new five-letter or six-letter puzzle appears every day at midnight UTC, and unlimited mode keeps going as long as you want.
How to play
- Type a real word of the right length and press Enter.
- Green means the letter is in the word and in that exact spot.
- Yellow means the letter is in the word but belongs somewhere else.
- Grey means the letter is not in the word at all.
- Use the clues to work out the word before you run out of six guesses.
Here C is in the first spot, R is somewhere else in the word, and A, N and E do not appear in it.
A new word every day
The daily puzzle is the same word for everyone, picked once for each date, and it never repeats a word used in the previous month. Your guesses, streak and win rate are saved in this browser only - nothing is uploaded, and no account is needed.
Answers are drawn from a pool of common five and six letter words, so the puzzle tests your reasoning rather than your knowledge of rare words. Any dictionary word is accepted as a guess, so you can use an unusual word to test a theory.
Is this Wordle? No - this is our own puzzle that plays the same way. The New York Times owns the Wordle name, so we call ours Words Corner Daily. When you are stuck, our Wordle solver lists every five letter word that fits the letters you already know.
